Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need another evaluation?

Not always. The most appropriate next step depends on the questions that remain, the information already available, and the concerns affecting daily life. A consultation can help clarify whether additional assessment may be useful.

What should I bring to the consultation?

If available, you may bring previous evaluation reports, school records, treatment summaries, relevant medical records, or a list of your current questions and concerns. The consultation can still proceed if you do not have records available.

Will I receive a diagnosis during the consultation?

No. The consultation does not provide a diagnosis or include formal testing. A diagnosis, when appropriate, requires a separate and sufficiently comprehensive evaluation.

Does the consultation replace a comprehensive evaluation?

No. The consultation is designed to clarify concerns and help identify next steps. It does not replace a comprehensive evaluation when one is clinically indicated.

How long is the consultation, and what does it cost?

The consultation lasts 45–60 minutes and the finalized fee is $175.

What happens after the consultation?

You will have a clearer understanding of the practical options discussed. Depending on your situation, the next step may involve using existing recommendations, seeking focused or comprehensive assessment, consulting another provider, or considering follow-through support.

How do fees and insurance work?

Before scheduling a service, you will receive information about the applicable fee, what is included, and any available out-of-network arrangements.
